1336-1573
Strength was respected more than grace,so the samurai practiced
military arts every day. The elements of Bushido spread. These are simplicity,economy,and
respect for their lord and
parents. It was during the Muromachi period that the current
style of Japanese cuisine including rice and vegetables was established.
Buddhism,which emerged prior to the Heian Period,now spread from the upper class
to all people. |
